Tribute of the Côa Park Foundation to its President, Bruno Navarro

The Côa Park Foundation and its employees are grieving for the loss of its President, the lost of a
leader dreamer, creative, generous and a friend.
In 2017, Bruno Navarro accepted the position of President of the Côa Park Foundation and the
difficult mission of reintegrating the engravings of the Côa Valley in the restricted club of Paleolithic
Art sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Despite being out of his comfort zone, geographically and intellectually, in less than 3 years he
managed to be appreciated and called to integrate international teams responsible for the
management and dissemination of the Paleolithic Art sites. In July 2020, organized the return of
António Guterres to the Côa Valley and its recognized merit in the origin of the most recent history
of the Côa Valley. He was also invited to be part of the Ciência Viva team.
Throughout this journey it was necessary to clear the trails that had been lost and invent new ways
for the Côa Project, whose dream began in 1995. His decisions returned the protagonism that this
Art of thousands of years has, being a unique testimony of our humanity, but that can only fully reveal
itself if integrated into other potential for sustainable development.
With his entrepreneurial spirit, restless and visionary, thus integrated different disciplines,
institutions and partners, in favor of the Foundation and development of the Côa Region. Today, the
Côa Park Foundation is a reference at national and international level, being a clear engine of this
region.
It leaves us with a portfolio of ambitious and transforming projects for Science, Culture and
Tourism.
It leaves us too soon.
Honoring your legacy will fall to each and every one of us.
