The Côa Museu Restaurant offers a taste of the rich regional gastronomy accompanied by the Upper Douro wines.
Located in the magnificent landscape surrounding the mouth of the Côa, in a large terrace overlooking the Douro Winemaking Landscape, at the table of the Côa Museum Restaurant local products are the stars of the menu. Traditional smoked sausages, cheese, mushrooms, asparagus, locally produced veal steak or cutlet are some of the presented delicacies. Codfish, river fish, or sea fish are also present, accompanied by olive oil and regional bread, concluding the gastronomic experience with desserts in which almond plays prominent role. By order, it is possible to taste other specialties typical of the Portuguese table such as cabidela rice, duck rice or various cod presentations. The wine list showcases the great variety of the Upper Douro, the only featured subregion. The Côa Museu Restaurant also offers a cafeteria and light meals service.
