The Impacto Social Art Gallery, which is launching its first pilot event on 13 June 2026 with the aim of validating the project that promotes artists and art, presents an exhibition curated by Romy Castro and Sofia F. Augusto, entitled CONTEMPORARY PERSPECTIVES ON LANDSCAPE, at the Côa Museum.
This exhibition showcases two installations that complement each other in their three conceptual dimensions.
The installation by curator Romy Castro, entitled THE EARTH AS EVENT III. Coal and Photography – Unknown Territories, explores the concept of conversing with the Earth through its materials, primarily mineral and vegetable coals, in a language of transversality and global contextualisation that signals an epistemological shift in our creative, aesthetic and geophilosophical dialogue.
The exhibition by Curator Sofia F. Augusto, entitled DIALOGUES WITH THE LANDSCAPE AND THE PLACE, presents, through photography, a visual investigation into the memory of the territory and, through a video art piece, a performative act that reflects on the changing social and community relations in contemporary times through the sense of place.
