One Ursa Minor
One Ursa Minor brings together a collection of paintings and objects in which image, word and medium draw closer, influence one another, and shift their positions. Landscapes meet postcards, envelopes, papers and books; words take on the form of images; painting explores new spaces in which to exist.
The exhibition is built upon relationships between seemingly distinct things: between the recognizable and that which begins to elude it; between the small and the immense; between everyday life and the potential for it to take on a new intensity.
Much like a constellation, the points are separate, yet it is the gaze that establishes the connections between them.
Painting asks where it can exist. And the word asks the same.
