The European Archaeology Days are back, and the Côa Park Foundation joins the event which will take place between June 17th and 19th.
On June 18th, the Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley and the research project Landcraf propose a guided tour to the shelter with paintings of Lapas das Cabreiras – Paisagens Reveladas.
The granite shelter of Lapas Cabreiras is one of the most important sites of Recent Prehistory in the Côa Valley, for its monumental architecture and the uniqueness of its paintings, which belong to the universe of Schematic Art. The Landcraft research project has been revealing decisive archaeological remains for the study of the contextualization of artistic manifestations and the understanding of human occupation of this valley, from the early Holocene to the present day.
