INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MONUMENTS AND SITES

Heritage and Rural Landscape is the theme of the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MONUMENTS AND SITES 2019. As it has happened in previous years, the Archaeological Park and the Côa Museum, together with the Direção-Geral do Património Cultural. propose a special programme to celebrate the date.
The Côa Valley Rock Art is one of the world’s oldest art form, Paleolithic Art. The farmhouses and their vineyards are unmissable landmarks in the landscape of the Douro Vinhateiro.
The Coa Park Foundation, in partnership with Quinta do Vale Meão, proposes a route where the characteristics of the rural landscape of the Douro Vinhateiro, visiting the Quinta do Vale Meão, and the heritage of the Coa Valley in a guided tour of the Museum.
