International Conference – “Climate Change and World Heritage”
The inscription of the Rock Art Sites of the Côa Valley on the World Heritage List represented a collective achievement of the scientific, cultural, environmental, and touristic values of the region and the country, with positive impacts on its national and international recognition. In this context, the Côa Parque Foundation, in compliance with the Action Plan of the World Heritage Network, is jointly organizing with the National Commission of UNESCO the 3rd conference of this Network, under the theme: “CLIMATE CHANGE AND WORLD HERITAGE.” The conference will include three plenary sessions dedicated to threats and risks to monuments and historic centers, challenges in managing cultural and natural landscapes, and the main threats to archaeological sites, scheduled for November 30th at the Côa Museum.
