Casa Grande Museum

The collection of the Casa Grande de Freixo de Numão Museum integrates collections of archaeology, regional ethnography, and local history. The archaeology collection originates from the archaeological campaigns carried out in the Freixo de Numão parish and cover chronological periods from the Palaeolithic to the Modern Age, with special emphasis on the Roman period.

The collection of ethnography consists of agricultural implements and objects related to baking, wine, olive oil, and almond production. In the context of local history, the Museum has been collecting materials and documentation related to the history of the former county seat.
