Today Côa celebrates an important date!

On November 21, 1994, the first news story about the extraordinary find in the Côa Valley was published. The story, signed by journalist Manuel Carvalho, was published in the Público newspaper. This was the first step to safeguarding Côa art.

To celebrate this date, we are inaugurating an important exhibition at the Carmo Archaeological Museum, the headquarters of the Portuguese Archaeologists Association, which has readily joined us in this great moment.
