Sound workshop – Collection of sound fragments for an imagined landscape

“Collection of sound fragments for an imagined landscape” is a workshop dedicated to people interested in sound and sound experimentation, electronic music and field recordings. It includes theoretical discussions, field and studio work. It focuses, as a starting point, on the creation of a sound narrative using recordings made in the surrounding area of the space where the workshop takes place. Participants will be invited to walk around the area and collect sounds with different characteristics in order to gather fragments of “memory” of the chosen areas (sound cartography). Our goal is to offer the participants the opportunity to develop a collective sound project, get to know new ways and perspectives of listening to the sound that surrounds us, as well as develop technical bases for recording, editing, processing and audio mixing.
