“All the Animals”, a work made by Luís Paulo Costa between 2020 and 2021, consists of a series of hundred and a half elements. It will be inaugurated on August 11, as part of the celebrations of the 13th anniversary of the Côa Museum and will be available until November 19.
First, the artist’s hands are photographed, driven more by the intuition of movement and fortitude than by the intention to capture precise figures. Subsequently, they are printed and given color – always in gray derivations.
The artist’s hands as if dancing – touching and touching, overlapping and grasping. Lightly or firmly.
There are no animals here, animals are then a metaphor to speak of drives – of desire, of the entanglement of bodies, of their temperatures, without recourse to verbal language.
