ROOM A. Côa – World Heritage Site

The Côa Valley rock art spans over a period of around 25 000 years, in two major cycles - the Upper Paleolithic and the Second Iron Age.

A virtual interactive flight over the Côa Valley illustrates the locations of the main rock art sites in the Valley.

This room also presents testimonials of specialists concerning the overall significance of the Côa rock art and an evocation of Upper Paleolithic art as humankind’s first graphical memory.
